Feel free to dream a bit

Imagine work, a team, a business that works just the way you’d like it to.

Great income, perfectly challenging and invigorating work, great people to work with, customers who love what you do for them. And plenty of time for life outside work, too.

How big is the gap between that dream and how you live now? (And about that gap…what does it cost you?).

Considering where you are, and where you want to be, what would you change now, if you could?

You can.

Many places to start

My work with clients starts in many ways.

Sometimes a client has a problem, but doesn’t know what it is, or what’s causing it. Or if they do, they don’t have a way, alone, to solve it. Others are overwhelmed and cannot see their way forward. Still other clients and their teams are mired in cross-functional problems.

I’ve advised, trained and mentored clients and teams for over 20 years.

My clients work in large and small companies, and many industries.

Many ways to succeed

By the time our work on a project was done, they had met their goals, or exceeded them.

And while they never, ever expected it, they’d also had fun in the process.

Often, clients were surprised at how much they accomplished.

I was not.

I knew they “had it in them.”

They just needed a fresh perspective, and experienced guidance.

We created a way for them to succeed with the circumstances they’d been given.

And as a bonus, they developed new skills that expanded their options and confidence.

Meet Jan Richards

First, I love the work I do, and the people I do the work for. I’ve consulted with senior leaders and teams for more than 20 years in large and small companies in high tech, biotech, pharmaceuticals, financial services, telecommunications, higher education and more.

My MBA is from UC Berkeley and my journalism undergrad is from Iowa State. I was also a national examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for five years.

Before I started my consulting business, I worked for seven years at Apple Computer evaluating, recommending, and making improvements in key business processes in product development, manufacturing, distribution, finance and administration, and sales and marketing.
